Meditation and related mind/body practices such as yoga and tai chi have existed for centuries, and they have been growing in popularity in the U.S. now for quite some time.  A number of research studies have suggested they can offer both specific and general benefits to health and wellbeing.  In this presentation we will sample some easily accessible meditation practices and talk briefly about what meditation is, how to do it, and what it can do for you.

This is a 60 minute presentation on how to handle the stress in your life - both at work and at home. By analyzing your energy type, and your co-workers, you will learn how to handle any situation.

Short Bio on Presenter:  Kate Holaday, LLP, LPC, ACSW holds Master’s Degrees in Counseling Psychology and Social Work, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Holistic Healthcare.  In the past she has served as a medical social worker, counselor, and Relaxation Practice facilitator at the West Michigan Cancer Center, and as Director of Counseling Services at Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan. She has provided individual therapy and group work since 1996 and opened a private practice in downtown Kalamazoo in 2003.  She currently offers counseling and workshops full-time through her private practice.
